There is a Gretje Fritzen born Sept 15, 1827 and died June 21, 1898 buried in Pontiac Cemetery near Chandlerville, Cass County Illinois. She was married to T. John Franken who was born Sept. 23, 1833 and died August 14, 1912. Mr. Franken then married my gggrandmother Mary E. Ray Gerdes widow of Folkert (Folker) W. Gerdes (born Oct 23, 1834 near Emden, Oestfriesland, Germany) I am wondering if my Folker Gerdes and T. John Franken knew each other from Oestfriesland. They were about the same age.
