Ludwig Herman married to Eberhardina Fritzen

An ancestor of mine, Ludwig Herman, 1720-1790 was married to Eberhardina Regina Fredrica Fitzen, 1725-1804. They were married in Germany, 1749 and came to America in 1749. I am connected on down the line from Earl Leroy Harmony. The Herman in many, many cases changed to Harmony and other spellings. Is there anyone with this history in their Fritzen line of ancestry?

I'd be interested in knowing of any other names you have coming out of Reil. My ancestors came from there. The name Fritzen is known there. Check the link:
http://www.dtl.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/~rohmann/genealogy/
for an example, although I don't see any exact matches with your Fritzens.

Harry Poulos
creticospoulos@pol.net

Gretje Fritzen born Sept. 15, 1827 married T. John Franken

There is a Gretje Fritzen born Sept 15, 1827 and died June 21, 1898 buried in Pontiac Cemetery near Chandlerville, Cass County Illinois. She was married to T. John Franken who was born Sept. 23, 1833 and died August 14, 1912. Mr. Franken then married my gggrandmother Mary E. Ray Gerdes widow of Folkert (Folker) W. Gerdes (born Oct 23, 1834 near Emden, Oestfriesland, Germany) I am wondering if my Folker Gerdes and T. John Franken knew each other from Oestfriesland. They were about the same age.
There is a reseacher for these Franken-Fritzen lines, but I have lost her e-mail. If you are researching this line, please contact me. betty
another Fritsen

Dear Chris:

I started surfing the net for information on my genealogy, and found this family history site. I looked for my surname amongst those given, and found only Fritzen with a "z". My name is spelled with an "s", but I wonder if somewhere along the line the spelling was changed. From what I've been told, my great-grandfather Fritsen came over from Denmark just around the turn of the century. My father is Wayne Fritsen of Las Vegas, NV, I have an uncle Ken Fritsen of Hamilton, MT, and two cousins Michael Fritsen of Missoula, MT and Chris Fritsen of Bozeman, MT. Please let me know if you have any more information, or if I can answer any more questions for you.

Hello:

My name is Chris Fritzen and I live in the United States. My father is Richard Steven Fritzen who is the son (my Grandfather)of Henry Fritzen who immigrated from Sweeden when he was a boy of 17. He is sinced deceased in 1971. I believe he has a sister Anna who still resides in Sweeden.

I also believe Fritzen is a given name. I believe his name in Sweeden was "Weslyen".

I just checking to see if there are any other Fritzen's out there and attempting to learn a little bit more about the history of this name.

I am 28 years old and live in Manhattan Beach, CA.

Have a nice day.
