Mrs. Ben Frnka Sr. Rites Monday

Mrs. Ben H. Frnka, Sr. passed away Saturday, March 23 at the home of her son Victor, 511 Ave. B. following a period of illness.

She was born August 12, 1889 in Cat Springs, Texas and has been a resident of El Campo the past 27 years.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1937. He was associated in the insurance business in El Campo.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ted Martin, sons Beno, Victor, Eugene, all of El Campo and F.T. of Magnolia Beach. A number of grandchildren, brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held Monday, 8:30 a.m. from Wheeler Funeral Chapel with Mass at St. Philip’s Catholic Church at 9 p.m., Rev. Petru officiating.

Burial was in ODHS Garden of Memories.

Rosary was recited Sunday night at the Wheeler Chapel and requiem high mass Tuesday 7:30 a.m. at St. Philip’s Church.

Mrs. B. H. Frnka Funeral Rites Held Monday


Funeral services for Mrs. Ben H. Frnka, Sr. 67, a resident of El Campo for the past 27 years were conducted from the Wheeler Chapel last Monday morning. The Rev. Julius Petru of St. Philip’s Catholic Church officiated with interment being made in the ODHS Garden of Memories.

Mrs. Frnka, born in Cat Springs on August 12, 1889, expired last Saturday in the home of her son Victor, on Avenue B following a long illness.

Survivors include four sons, Victor, Beno, Eugene, all of El Campo and Fundy of Magnolia Beach and one daughter, Mrs. Ted Martin of El Campo.

Rosary was recited Sunday evening in the Wheeler Chapel and Requiem High Mass was held in St. Phillip’s Catholic Church Monday morning.
