I believe they were a great great aunt & uncle of mine, possibly one more great? I'm not too sure. My relatives with the last name Tartaglini were Louis and Bettina Tartaglini.

We are an Italian speaking, English family who have recently moved to live in Itri, which is very near to Formia.

We fell in love with the area when on holiday a few years ago, and have a passion for all (nearly all !!!) things Italian.

We too are researching family links in Italy, particularly in the Atina, Frosinone area.

Hi I was stumbling around Roots and found Arthur Frongello. I worked with an Arthur at the GE in Lynn Mass. Arthur lived in Lexington at the time. I retired in 1980.
I was wondering if it was the same one. I wrote him a letter. I am waiting to hear from him or to whom ever I am writing to. I am new atbthis message board thing.

hello..i am the grandaughter of JACQUELYNN FRONGELLO b. May 20, 1929, married to Frank Oppedisano. She was the daughter of LOUIS FRONGELLO of Formia, Italy, b. Aug. 11, 1899, and Freda Alice Miller, b. Jan. 27, 1901. Jacquelynn and Frank now live in CT and FL. Are any of these names familiar? Feel free to email me at Ashley.Oppedisano@huskymail.uconn.edu.

Bonnie?? This is Donna!! What info did your dad have collected... cause I have quite a bit myself.. mostly from Uncle Louie...he's the only Tartaglini left that's old enough to know about Grandma's side of the family... Still looking for stuff on Grandpa... he was in the military ya know... grandma told me he won the purple heart for being int he lost battallion... I'm still trying to find out more about that.. Let me know what you have..I'd be interested.... also if you have Ralph's e-=mail address I'd appreciate that too!! Haven't seen Ralphie in years...actually since grandma died. I also have a bunch of old pictures of the family.. a lot of your dad when he was young. I'll get some copies made if you like... let me know.. Hope to hear from you soon.. Love ya Donna

Hello Donna!
What a surprise to hear form you!! I am delighted to hear from you! Yes that is your cousin Ralphie. He is going to get me some information as well. I have been at a lot of dead ends on the Frongello family. Dee was supose to send me what Dad has done, but nothing yet! I will probably have to call her again and remind her. She is getting to put the house up for sale and find herself a smaller place. She had a bout with breast cancer, but is doing ok now. Still going thru treatments when I talked to her last. I have a copy of Dad's Navy papers and his birth cirtificate. I also have photos of his wedding day to my Mother. I have written to Boston for more info, however there is about a one year waiting list! So I posted here looking for information. That is when Ralph replied to me and we have been keeping in touch. I hope to hear from him soon as well. I would love to have copies of the photos you have for sure! I will make you copies of the ones that I have as well. I have a photo of Grandma Frongello on her 80th birthday too! She was always in the kitchen doing what she loved, cooking! She made the best! Reply to me directly at my email address hapdog@ipa.net. I have just about quite using hotmail due to all the junk and limited space I have there. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!!

Hello Ralph!
I waited so long for anyone to reply to my posting!
I have written to Boston library and they said
that I have a year waiting list! I was so
disapointed!! Joseph is my father and I still miss
him dearly!! Dee has sent me his birth cirt. and
his navy papers. I haven't been able to get her
to send me anything else. Dad started the family
history on a disk, and I would love to have it.
It has been hard for Dee to go to his room and get
it for me. PLEASE contact me directly at this

His parents are John Frongello and Dora Tartaglini
both are from Italy. I have other information
