Can anyone help with further information regarding my great great grandfather Arthur Frost? He arrived in the colonies aboard the Eden on 22 December 1836. He stated his home as "Cockhill". I can track him and the family after this but it was our thought that he was Irish but we could be wrong on this. He was born 1822 and transported at age 14 for causing the death of a horse. He put his trade as Hurdle-maker. Believing he may have been Irish, I have already travelled to Cockhill in Co. Donegal but luck would have it that the original church burnt down with all associated documents going up in smoke as well. His surname is not Irish, so we are querying whether he may have been part of the English/Scottish settlers who were brought over to work around the turn of the century.
