Hi "Cuz"
One of the perks to doing family tree research is running into distant or sometimes not so distant relatives who are also researching.
The following is a brief sketch of James and where I fit into the tree. If you would like to know more or keep in touch via e-mail, my address is
rfrost@jeffco.eduBy the way, the 1790 census of Chester County, South Carolina has a Robert Frost listed. The only other Frost listed is Capt. Frost.
James Anderson Frost was born in 1849 in Kentucky and died in 1912 in Alton, Missouri. He is buried in Cotton Creek Cemetery in Oregon County, MO just outside of Alton. He was married to Sarah Lucinda (Susan) Miller among their children were Elisha, Jacob W., and John W.
Susan Miller died in Alton, MO on 29 Apr 1949 at 100 years of age.
Elisha was born on 24 Mar 1880 in Booneville, KY and died 31 Mar 1946 in Alton, MO. Elisha had two wives that I have been able to verify. Cora Wilder,, and Nova Belle Strain. Both are buried in Bailey Cemetery in Alton, Mo. Among Elisha’s children are Everett, Charlie, Lloyd, and Rhoda.
Everett Frank Frost is my grandfather. Everett was born 18 May 1900 in Booneville, Kentucky and died Mar 1970 in Alton, Mo. Everett also had two wives, Jessie Liles and Clara Gore. Jessie was my father’s mother.
