Natalie, I have quite a bit of info on Rachel Holland who was the first wife of Richard Fryer, and believe that they are the ancestors of your husband's Richard Chanberlain Fryer and Henry Fryer. According to that info, Rachel Holland had a brother named Jeremiah, which I believe is the source of that given name in your Fryer line.
