All landed in Jersey City and moved to Parsippany over the years…
They had 10 kids…

Raphello Fucci 1909 – 1973
Harry Peter Fucci 1912 – 1979
Fannie Fucci 1915 –
Josephine Fucci 1916 – 1982

All of them had about 4-8 kids each…

I am married to Nicholas Joseph Fucci, son of Henry Nicholas Fucci. Henry's Father had 3 brothers and 3 sisters I cannot locate, all New Jersey...I found one on a Boys Home Census possibly?

My dad "Henry" is the son of Paul Fucci and Lillian Bafundi-Fucci. He was born in New Jersey in October 1932. He was 1 of 5 kids, I remember he said he had a brother Paul, and Sister Irene....

I am still looking for this information and it is great to hear from you! Rita Marie SALEMME TURNER who wrote to your aunts is my wife. She is granddaughter of Cosmo and Rose SALEMME. I believe your grandmother Lucy SALEMME BAGLIA is Rita's great aunt. I well remember meeting your aunts in Jamestown, NY. If I am not mistaken you are the namesake of an uncle who was wounded in WW II. Since the post in 2000, we found out more about Lucia who married Salvatore. Rita's Gramma Rose said Lucia's maiden name was "Fooshka". When the researchers in Gaeta heard that, all the lights went on, and they said her maiden name was "FUSCO" (pronounced "FOOSHKA" in the Gaeta dialect). We got a different birthdate from Italy for Salvatore from the one here in the US. I mailed for the church record from Catskill but never got an answer. We would treasure that information, as well as the census information you located. All details will be very welcome! Thank you so much for thinking of us. (I must have missed the email alert about the previous fascinating message posted in 2003).

I know your post is 10 years old, but... maybe you're still looking. I have info on Salvatore Salemme and Lucia Foucci. Coincidentally, I live within 5 minutes of Catskill, NY. I have a letter sent to my aunts (Lucy and Antoinette Baglia)also inquiring about Salvatore and Lucia. The signature may be 'Rita' and the address is Springfield, Ill. Would you happen to know that person? At any rate, I found a mislabeled census record and have a church record from Catskill. Let me know if you want details.

I also grew up in Brooklyn (Bay Ridge) and am now living in CT. My father is deceased and, unfortunately, so is most of his family. I have a cousin (Lorraine) who lives in Long Island and a few other cousins who live in Florida. My brother, Thomas, is in CA, one sister, Annette, in Long Island and another sister, Maryjane, in NJ. My father's parents were from Italy (Avellino).

My Father is dead as well, And my mother doesnt really speak to any of the other Fucci's, They have always said that we were from a little town outside of naples as well, I did some reasearch and read that alot of the Fucci's come from Avellino, I heard it was huge out there. I would love to find out where my family comes from and possibly go visit there, I have seen some other Fucci's in the brooklyn area but I am not sure if i am related to them.

Hello - my maiden name is Fucci - my family lived in Brooklyn - unfortunately all the older Fucci's including my father are deceased - we may be related though - they also used to say my father's family was originally from a little town near Naples but we have found out that it was actually a small town in the Basilcata Region named Noepli (sp?) this may help you - let me know - Anne Criscitiello

Even though it was 3 years ago, yes I do remember that store called Fucci. I do have Fuccio's in the tree also. The names always seem to change. I have another spelling also. Fucci and Ceglia are big there and in the surrounding areas. I took lots of pictures in the Cemetary with people of our ancestry, hoping to match them up one day. We had first cousins marry just a few generations back...that was one of many of our Fucci and Ceglia connections. You probably are related somewhere with us. It would interesting to find the connection.

if you went to Arpaia, then you ran into my family.
You said that you were at the cimitery. If its the cimitery of Arpaia, then that is my whole family.
My surname is Fuccio by a spelling mistake. Anyway there is a store in Arpaia that is owned by someone with the fucci last name.
All i know is that he is not related to us.
The fucci family exists in Italy since the 1200 and spread mostly in the south, near benevento.
And then a lot of them moved to USA, (NY, Boston and so on)

My father Henry's family was in New Jersey at that time. He was born in 1932. He said his mother died at the birth of his younger brother. My father, his younger brother and older sister were sent to live with a family and the two oldest brothers lived with a different family. My Dad said this all took place around the time of the depression. He was taken from the 1st family and was sent to a kinder family. If anything here sounds familiar, I'd love to hear from you.

He had many brothers that stayed in Italy and I don't know there names. He married and lived in Massachusetts had 10 children. Let me know if you found any other info.

Armando Fucci

I am the grandson of Armando Fucci who was born in about 1890 in Montebello, Italy, married Maria Rosetti and came to America in 1911 with his mother-in-law. My mother was born in Italy in 1911 and came to the US with her mother in May 1912.

Is there anyone with any connection to any of these people?

Hi there,
We just returned from a trip to Italy visiting these small towns in Campania. Just so you know, Fucci is almost like Smith in this area of Benevento and Avellino. I am sure there are connections between our families but it would take some work to figure it out. Just in the small town we were staying in there were a few shops with the Fucci name and in the cemetary there were many Fucci's.

What I know of is the Fucci name is Italian. My husbands family has Fucci Ancestors. I have traced back the lineage to the very early 1800's. I have found many in the Benevento and Avellino area in the region of Campania( Southern Italy). I have found also that the name Fucci changed a bit over the generations, I have found in the same family the name Fuccio. We just came back from a trip to Italy visiting that area. The Fucci name is quite prevelent in the area. In the small town we were in there were a few shops with the Fucci name. And the cemetery had many Fucci's listed. I hope this helps.

I spoke with my Uncle Mike once when I was about 21 he said all these kind things to me. About how he remembered seeing me when I was little once and told me about his daughter. He said he would speak with my father and to get back with him. So I did just that, the results were horrorable he said cruel mean things to and denied me. So tell me how do I go about making a friendship with someone that denies you? Look I'm going to be 33 now and it's taken someone 3yrs to reply to me. I now have 2 children and am on my 2nd marriage. I really need to have some closer with my father, I just want to meet with him one time. I have family medical questions also my daughter was born 8/12/03 with a medical issue and almost died. Just a note as i looked back on your previous messages. I think the only one it could be would be the Angelo born in 1899. I don't have any info on a wife or children.
His siblings names:
Ernesto(Ernie), Richard--he married Essie Tarshis(they may have changed their name to Fusey according to the SSN records for Richard.), Roccos, Olympia, Louis, Mary and Clement.
I have pictures of some of these Fucci's. But I can not find an Angelo. According to this Angelo was second youngest.

No specific info on his parents. They were born in Italy, came here, went back to Italy. Some of his parents family settled in Argentina. I don't have any info on siblings.
