India,
Thanks for responding to my posted message about Furgersons.
Roxy Ann Fugerson was my late husbands maternal great grandmother. I have found since the posting Roxy Ann's parents and siblings in the 1850 census of St Lawrence County, New York. Her parents were: Issac Ferguson b. 1798 and his wife Lany b. 1809. Children: Isaac M. Furgerson b. 1830, Virgil Furgeson b. 1831, John Furgeson b. 1833, George Furgeson b. 1835, Milo Furgeson b. 1838, Lany Furgeson b. 1840, Henry Furgeson b. 1843, Elizabeth Furgeson b. 1845, Roxy Ann Furgerson b, 1845 - d. 1919.
The family story is that Roxy Ann was disowned by her family for marring Charles C Currier a veteran of the Civil War. They homesteaded in Michigan, moved to Wisconsin and eventually to Iowa.
Does any of the above names fit into your family line??
This Furgerson family was not found in the 1860 census of St Lawrence County, New York.
Would appreciate hearing from you.
Sharon
