I am intrigued about this William G Fulcher born 1875, address 470 New Cross Road, Deptford. I looked on the LDS site and couldn't find him. It is just that William George Fulcher whose private residence was 470 NCR was my gggm bro. and he was born in 1794 and the only son I have for him died in 1869 and his children weren't old enough to be having children.
FULCHER FAMILY website has been revised

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~rayphill/
PHILLIPS AND CALLAHAN FAMILY LINES IN ARKANSAS, TEXAS & OKLAHOMA
I have revised my website to make it more efficient and user friendly. It includes a large number of records for WHITE's and their allied surnames. I have updated the GEDCOM supporting this website on Rootsweb World Connect and have linked individuals from my website directly to this master GEDCOM. I am attaching pictures, census data, copies of source records and other important information to the master individual records using post 'em notes. Users may also add post 'em notes to the master individual records. It is still a work in progress but I believe it will make things less cumbersome. Check it out.
Wife 3 is my direct line and they had 3 children that I know of which were Henry Byrd Fulcher, William Fulcher, Jr (I assume), and Mary Fulcher. I can't find where he had a wife name Sarah.
On pg. 43 in the "Fulcher Family" vol. I, No. II, April 1973 by Ethelyn Kennon she has the following info:
"Patent Book 11 Robert Charlesworth and Joseph Fulcher 400 A. King William County in St. John's Parish 'on branches of Polecat Swamp and the Reedy Swamp adj. John Hurt, said Charlesworth, Samuel Norment, Richard Cro. Walker.' 22 June 1722.
(My note:In parens she added the following):
(In 1728 Caroline County was formed and this land fell into that county. The only remaining records of Caroline County are the Order Books, and necessarily fragmentary. From them we learn that Joseph Fulcher died in that county in 1735. His wife was named Susanna, and later m. John Roberts. WILLIAM FULCHER, wife Sarah, lived and died in Caroline Co. and is named in a Quaker record as the son of Joseph."
I did find some refs. to Thomas and John Fulcher, but, not in relation to William. Sounds like this Wm. was the son of Joseph and the time period is right.

I got the article on the Bradberry/Fulcher Shoot Out from "The Copper Era". "A Look at Greenlee's Past" by Al V. Fernandez. State of AZ Dept of Library Archives & Public Records; film #12, 54, 10 Index 01/08/1985 - 12/31/1986. Articles regarding the train robbery came from the "Tucson Citizen" dated May 13, 1922; April 8, 1926; and "AZ Daily Star" dated April 8, 1926. There was also an article in "The Deming Headlight", July 28, 1922, titled "Alleges Killers Ambush Victims.

How do you relate to the family?

As a follow on for all USA Fulcher's go to the outer banks of North Carolina if you can and you will your roots. In Hatteras village there is a Fulcher Lane., a commemorative piece called Keepers of the Light have the names of all the lighthouse keepers and Fulcher's are through-out. On the Island of Ocracoke Lighthouse I actually stumbled on Josephus Fulcher's grave 35 years ago in the cemetery at the base of the light. In those days it was not kept and was a tangle, but the last time I was there 5 years ago it has all been restored.
A great getaway, and roots too!

To my knowledge Richard's book was never "published" he had loose-leaf binder that he produced 20 to 30 years ago. He died in a house fire in a small town in Tennessee where he was Mayor. You might Google that info and get to a family member. I have my families portion of that book and it is very good (Norfolk to Spotsylvania, VA to Nashville) Past that he was an LDS so I'm sure they have it but I'm not asking as I don't want to get on their radar.
Good Luck!!
Info on William Tanton Fulcher

William Tanton Fulcher was my great grandfather and I believe was born in East Lake/Manns Harbor NC around 1850.
He married Joanna Wright Smith in April 1877/79 in Dare County. Also, married Lizzie Moore of Nags Head in April 1896. His parents are listed as J Fulcher & Margaret(no maiden name)Fulcher on one marrige certificate and John and Margaret Fulcher on another one. Does anyone know the correct name of his parents and their parents? He was the father of John Franklin, my grandfather who was born in Manns Harbor on Jan 1, 1878. John Franklin also had 12 children (one being my mother, Carnie Dell Fulcher Stewart)with Catharine Keys Rogers Fulcher whom he married on July 14, 1901 in Kitty Hawk. Appreciate any information anyone may have.

Re: James Walter Fulcher son of Mary, Patrick Co. Virginia

Thank you for your inquiry and offering a mystery of your own to boot:) You are the second line of Fulchers that is tied to the Mary, Martha Fulcher Line by records from Patrick County and further descending form the same mysterious "Gabriel Fulcher". The other line is from Thomas Fulcher who shows up in the household of my GG Grandfather James Walter Fulcher in the 1880 Dan River Census of Patrick County.
The very prevelant question that plaques us is where are the male Fulchers at in the census? I believe we will find them somewhere in a work camp either mining or working on a railroad for instance. I have been unable to find their whereabouts in any of the missing years but have not discontinued the search.
You mention William "Billy" Fulcher and I wonder where you are referencing him and the nickname with Mary? Do you have a missing piece here?
We do know that this family shares first names readily and that could be par of the confusion here, just ask my cousin Ron Fulcher in Mercer Co. :) Maybe this is part of the confusion in the research. Please feel free to contact me by email at ronfulcher at aol . com for any additions, corrections or, conversations

Ron Fulcher

WVA Death certificate 807, Mercer Co., WV for Aurilla Fulcher states that she was born in Patrick Springs and she was the widow of James W. Fulcher. It further states that her parents were John Fain and Polly McPeak both born at Stewart (Stuart), Va.
Thank you for your response, and I should have posted an update a while ago. Mike Conmy who is married to a Fulcher contacted me with most of this information and the a pretty complete family tree from there but, your post answered several questions too. This past February I had the chance to visit the Hill Graveyard in Mercer Co. where James W. Fulcher, Arilla H. A. (Fain) Fulcher and John Emmit Fulcher, Martha A. (Sutphin) Fulcher are buried along with many more Fulchers, Sutphins, Hills, and such. Additonally found were Harold Fulcher 86 years old in Maryland, William Fulcher in Mercer Co. and Ruby (Fulcher) Kissinger all living children of Benford Sr. Fulcher son of James W. Fulcher.

James W. Fulcher lived with Benford Sr. for quite a few years until he passed while Arilla (Arvilla, Aurilla, Hester Ann,) stayed in cabin nearby. They found it easier to get along if they didn't live together. James had worked as a miner and was a farmer I believe and Harold remembers him making baskets from white oak and hickory for a living when he stayed with them.

The middle name of Waller is in question because his surviving grandchildren call him Walter and do not recognize Waller as his name, There was a James Waller just down the street in Patrick Springs when James W. was born and the presence of a William Waller Fulcher in Hanover Co. records makes me wonder too but, Harold , Bill and Ruby all called him Grandpa Walter.
1
Descendants of Martha (Fulcher) ?
Generation No. 1
1. MARTHA (Fulcher)1 ?
Child of MARTHA (Fulcher) ? is:
2. i. MARY2 L., b. 1831.
Generation No. 2
2. MARY2 L. (MARTHA (Fulcher)1 ?) was born 1831.
Notes for MARY L.:
No record of any marriages. No record of Childrens father not sure if Fulcher is maiden name or married name. Mary married William Blancett born ABT 1794 in ,Patrick,Virginia
 Married: 27 NOV 1878 in ,Patrick,Virginia Note: performed by E.P.Howell minister.
Listed Father as B. Fulcher not sure if she was widowed or divorced.
Children of MARY L. are:
3. i. JAMES WALLER3 Fulcher, b. 1856, Patrick County Virginia.
ii. SARAH A Fulcher, b. 1849.
iii. WILLIAM Fulcher, b. 1859.
Generation No. 3
3. JAMES WALLER3 Fulcher (MARY2 L., MARTHA (Fulcher)1 ?) was born 1856 in Patrick County Virginia. He
married ARILLA H. FAIN March 3, 1875 in Patrick County Virginia, daughter of JOHN FAIN and MARY MCPEAK. Patrick County Marriage Records revealed that William Fulcher and Mary Fulcher were the parents of James Waller Fulcher. Mike Conmy addition

Is Richard FAIN the son of Patriot William FAIN?

Who is William L. Fulcher, father of James W. Fulcher?

Who are Mary and Martha Fulcher?

Ron Fulcher

John Emmit Fulcher married Martha Sutphin from Floyd County. She was the daughter of Riley William Sutphin and Lucinda Bolling Sutphin. Riley William Sutphin was the son of George Washington Sutphin who was the son of Riley S. Sutphin, both of these last two served Virginia for the Confederacy. George Washington Sutphin is buried in Mercer County in the Hill Cemetery north of Oakvale,WV and has a CSA marker. Richard Fain is related to both John Emmit Fulcher and Martha Sutphin.

From The Beckley Post Herald Beckley, WV June 12, 1961 Martha Fulcher Dies in Hospital

Oakvale (RNS) --- Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Fulcher died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday in a Princeton hospital after a two month illness.
Born June 23, 1890 in Floyd County, Va., she was a daughter of the late Riley and Lucinda Sutphin.
Her husband John Fulcher preceeded her in death.
She was a member of the Church of God at Beckley.
Survivors include two sons, Albert of Princeton and Edward Fulcher of Ronceverte; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Staton of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Margaret Riley of Jersey City, NJ., and Mrs. Loretta Brown of Pensacola, Fla.; a brother, Willie Sutphin of Quinwood; and two sisters, Mrs. Lenora Roberts of Sophia and Mrs. Bessie Harmon of Boomer.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel at Princeton with the Rev. Leonard Repass in charge. Burial will be in the Hill cemetery at Oakvale. The body will remain at the funeral home.

His father was also a George b. 1818 and I have his mother as Nancy Beasley. Any information on the family even if not direct would be helpful as I may be able to back build. I am a friend of the Sanders family in Duncan Az. that was related to the Fulchers. When I was a teenager I met one of the Fulcher brothers (he was an old cowboy at the time) that had gone to prison for the robbery.

Re: James Walter Fulcher son of Mary, Patrick Co. Virginia

Yes, good questions. I would love to figure out the Martha, Mary, Sarah Fulcher household. It appears to be 3 generations of Fulcher women with no men around. Did the civil war take William "Billy" Fulcher who was Mary's husband? What could her maiden name be? Could it be Martha was his mother and Mary and her children lived with her? Sarah did marry a Fain and have a son Ballard in 1869-70 but no father around again. Again, maybe death or tragedy took these men.
My goal in figuring out this line is to clarify the massive Fulcher line I have as part of my husband's family tree.
J McK McKenzie C (or K) Fulcher is my husband's great grandfather. On his marriage record he lists Gabriel and Sarah Fulcher as his parents and on 1880 census lives with Handy family as a ten-yr old. But, Gabriel had died in 1864, not allowing him to be his father if he was born around 1870. The other record I've found for J McK and Mary Fulcher (Mary Jane Martin Bryant Fulcher) is for the death of their first child (baby) - reported by Mary Blancett who lists herself as gmother. Gmother - grandmother or great grandmother or godmother? Of whom? Of McKenzie? Of the baby? For a while I thought James W or John W was really McKenzie, but they are all listed separately on the 1880 census. Now I'm at a dead end as to who McKenzie's parents really were. The marriage record and the baby's death record are contradictory.
I do think clarifying the Martha, Mary, Sarah Fulcher mystery will help.
Keep me posted, everyone, with any thoughts or discoveries. We are going way back to 1795 for Martha's birth, so it's a tedious search.
Anyone that would like an invitation to my family tree on ancestry.com, please let me know your email address. You are welcome to come and browse and help me continue to find out details!
Thank you!

Re: Virginia, Tennessee, Missouri Fulchers

I'm so excited by your note. Ann Moss was a sister to Henry Harrison Moss. Henry's daughers Fannie and Mary (Mollie) married Fulcher brothers. The Moss line can be traced through the American Revolution & back to England in the 1500's. Guy Fulcher would be my great, great uncle and Frances did a great deal of research, however, I occassionally find errors like the wedding date, and the Fulcher side was never completed. Our family story is that they got off the riverboat at St. Jo, MO (I believe) because there was a cholera outbreak, however, no information about the deaths related to it. My mother has copies of Frances and Uncle Guy's original work and will be bringing it when visiting next month. If you'd like the Moss information, I'd be glad to share it. Thanks so much for responding!

I am looking for information for a friend on Mary Ann Fulcher (1817-1883)of Buckingham Co., Va. who was married to Benjamin P. Davis (1814-1855)and also Robert T. Davis (1812-1874. I have seen information that her mother's name was Sarah Jane Quarles married to unknown Fulcher. I would be very interested to know if anyone has information on her parents and if the rumors about her being Native American have any merit. I was thinking that possibly she might be melungeon.
