Hello
I was reading through the threads to your posting. I am looking for a Samuel A. Fuller b. abt 1840 (he was age 67 in 1907) who had lived "of Harbor Beach, Michigan".
Now to explain: My family is of the Joseph (1832-1895) and Mary Ann (Dennee) (1837-1912) Miller family.
I am trying to verifiy Joseph Miller's parents as being John Canniff Miller b. abt 1803 and Ruth b. abt 1805. The children of John C. and Ruth are Samuel b. abt 1828, Joseph b. 1832, Phoebe L. b. abt 1836, Peter b. abt 1838, Sarah J. b. abt 1840, Nancy M. b. abt 1846 and John C. b. abt 1848.
Now advance a little: When Joseph Miller died, Mary Ann remarried Philip Ingles (1828-1906) of Harbor Beach. After Philip Ingles died, Mary Ann applied for a Widow's Civil War pension.
While living in Detroit, she obtained an affidavit (1907) with the witnesses being Samuel J. Miller (age 82) and Samuel A. Fuller (age 67) both of Harbor Beach, Huron Co., Michigan.
The age of Samuel J. Miller would be really close to being the brother of Jospeh Miller, which means my Miller family did not come alone from Canada and as I have been lead to believe.
But my question is how does Mary Ann know Samuel A. Fuller and how is he related? Is there family ties or just a friend? Would you know something of Samuel A. Fuller? family??
Thanks
