The Fullers are an elusive bunch, but I was drawn to the connection to the Rowley family because there seems to be so many marriages between the two families. I was particularly interested in the Moses Rowley line because it connects to my Fullers in Connecticut and also to the Fullers in Richmond, Berkshire, NY. This family connects the Fuller/Rowley family to the Fullers of East Haddam, Middlesex, CT. I have been searching for the family connections of Thomas Fuller and Lucy Burt who married in Richmond, Massachusetts on Feb. 12, 1796. The Moses Rowley familly connects. The other connection comes through the Revolutionay War era when the Fullers served with all of these cousins in Berkshire Co., MA and then moved into Saratoga, Saratoga, NY and Washington Co. NY. If you start looking at the people who moved to Saratoga and Washington Co., and then Warren County, most of them go back to there service together at the Battle of Saratoga and Ft. Defiance in Washington Co. The Gates and the Wells were commanding officers and they are related to all of the Fullers and Rowleys and most of them came from Connecticut (Middlesex County and New London County. They were not just serving together in the war, they were cousins.
