His brother, William's dairy shows his death date as 16 Oct 1813. Some trees show him going to Michigan, remarrying and having 5 more children between 1815 1nd 1823. I believe there are 2 men, one of which should not be going back to William and Sarah Cooley. Also the Gill tree lists name and dates for his 7 children with Eleanor. Where was this info found? Help, help, please

I don't know of a Laurence fitting these data but there was a David Warren Fullerton b.1842, possibly in Monroe County, IN, who m. an Eva J., born c.1855. They lived in Missouri and, later, in Kansas. They had two daughters, Minnie and Eva, of whom one married an Ernest Todd. The family was likely Scots-Irish and earlier generations came through South Carolina and Tennesee.

The family is identified as "Clan 155" in "The Fullertons of North America", 1986 edition. That book, which was privately published, can be found in a number of major libraries and on microfilm through the LDS.

Hope this helps.

Hello Susan-- My maiden-name is Fullerton. I am working on my family tree, and in doing so found a cousin, Ben Fullerton, son of Meredith Munson Jr, grandson of Meredith Munson. He was a brother of Elsie Mae. There were also: Robert Woody Fullerton, Mary Alice Fullerton and Benjamin Samuel Fullerton. There was a Mary A. shown on the census report of 1920. She was shown as 1yr/8mo old. Her father had died 10 Oct 1918--this may be Mary Alice. I have dates for Elsie Mae and Meredith Munson but have hit stone walls on the others. Would love to hear from you directly. I live in Georgia, have 3 children and 7 grand-children. Hope to hear from you---Barbara Fullerton Worrall bandbworrall@bellsouth.net

Harvey, Do you live in Arkansas? If you do I would just go to the courthouse there and ask where they keep the old wills and records. Surely someone there can help you. I tried to e-mail someone there from the clerks office but received no response. I was checking on some family trees on Ancestry and there is a file there that says, David Abner Fullerton was married 1rst to, Elizabeth Wingfield who was born in 1856 and that she died circa 1878. David Abner Fullerton then married Charlotte Frisby, who was born in 1866 and died in 1944. She is buried in Piney Grove Cemetery in Nevada County, Arkansas. Today I found David Abner Fullerton's Son, Ed Fullerton on a family file by just googling on google. I am not sure what information that you have on his family but here is what I found. Ed Fullerton, born April 12, 1882 in Clark County, Arkansas to Abner Fullerton. Ed married Effie R. Hunt, who was born, March 4, 1897 in Hood County, Texas. Ed and Effie were married April 3, 1918 in Haskell, Haskell County, Texas. Ed and Effie had 5 children: Floyd, born about 1921 in Texas, Viola Beatrice, born about 1922 in Texas ,Virgil Lafette born about 1924 in Texas, Jewell J., born about 1925 in Texas and Hazel Marie, born October 3, 1929 in Texas. Effie was married and widowed prior to marrying Ed Fullerton. Her first husbands last name was Riley. Effie had three children with Mr. Riley. The children's names were: Dorsey Riley (male), born about 1902 in Clark County, Arkansas, Sue Riley, born about 1904 in Clark County Arkansas and Jewell Riley , born about 1912 in Clark County Arkansas. Ed Fullerton died May 25, 1935 in Weinert Haskell County, Texas from Apoplexy. He is buried in the Weinert Cemetery in Haskell County Texas. Effie R. Hunt Fullerton died September 27, 1973 in Haskell, Haskell County, Texas from a stroke. She is also buried at Weinert Cemetery in Haskell, Haskell County, Texas. Hazel Marie Fullerton married Andrew Jackson McClintock. They have a Daughter, Darla Jean McClintock. I am not sure but I believe that Hazel Marie Fullerton might have been married first to a Harmon Ray Wigley. If so they have a Daughter, Sharon Kay Wigley. Viola Beatrice Fullerton married Wayburn Howard York. They have a Son, Eddie Albert York. Virgil Lafette Fullerton married Grace Louise Dolan. They have a Son, Virgil Richard Fullerton Jr. I hope that some of this information will help fill in some of the gaps. I will keep searching to see what I can find out on the family.
Harvey, The website is called, An Arkansas Connection. So just type in those words and it will take you there. Then hit database link and check the surname index for the name Fullerton. Some of the information was submitted by Patsy Elaine Sieger. I don't know if you know her or not. What was David Abner Fullerton's wife Elizabeth's last name? There is some history there that might help a little. Let me know how it goes. Mary

Harvey, I saw some genealogical records for Leander Fullerton's Family on a website today that said he had a son Frances (the census records say Frances was a female) born in 1850, a son Abner, a son Scott,a son Leander JR. who was born in 1858 (could this be Asa L.?) and a daughter Rebecca. I also saw some baby girls (one that was born in Greenville)(I think one was named Mary and the other Jane) and another one that could have been children of Leander and one of his many wives. Did you know that there was a Leander Fullerton Jr? I will try and locate the website so you can have a look at it. My gut tells me that somehow these people are connected. Mary

Hi, I was checking through the records on Ancestry.Com and on google and found this information: I found Leander and Wife Mary in both the 1850 and 1860 Census records. They are living in Greenville,Clark County Arkansas. In 1850 there is a 4 year old child by the name of Georgia Ann Stroope (born abt. 1846 in Arkansas) living with them. By 1860 Leander and Mary are shown to have three children: Francis A. (daughter)age 10 (born abt. 1850 in Arkansas), Abner (middle name was David) age 7 (born abt 1853 in Arkansas) and Scott age 4 born about 1856 in Arkansas. Is it possible that Scott could be Asa L Fullerton? I noticed that the family switched their first names around alot. Asa's wife went by Minnie, Elizabeth and Missouri. I have not been able to find Leander his wife, Abner (and his family) Scott or Asa in 1870 or 1880. I did find Abner (a widower) living with one of his son's (and family) and Asa and his family living in Boughton,Nevada Arkansas in the 1900 census. There is no trace of Leander his wife or Scott. In the Census records Asa always states his father was born in Tennessee and mother was born in Arkansas. I did find a record that shows Leander served in the Civil War out of Clark County Arkansas and was denied a pension. When he applied for his pension he was living in Nevada County in 1897. Asa and his Wife, Missouri (Dougan) had about 7 children and they were: Annie, Timmie Ola (a girl),Belle, Arles, Charlie Margo(Charlie was a girl), Flave and Taylor. Timmie Ola was my friends great-grandmother. I assume that you decend from Abner's family. Please let me know how you fit in to this family. Do you have any family records that might show a connection to these families? I think that Leander had a will that is lodged at the court house in Clark County Arkansas. His probate file number was # 561. There was also some probate records there for a Lee Fullerton. Those numbers were: 901, 1060, and 2165. You might try calling the clerks office there in Clark county. The number is: (870)246-4491. I am sure that Leander's will would probably give us some leads. I hope that this helps you some. Again let me know how you are connected to the family. Thank you. Mary

He came to the U.S.A sometime prior to 1870 and was married to Susanna Donohue also born in Ireland. I have not been able to locate his birth place or family members. Patsy Seiger is a cousin and most of her information is factual, but some of it is old and not exact right. David Abner was married twice. His last wife was Charlotte Tidwell, she is buried near Boughton, whichis just out of Prescott. as to Abners first being name Elizabeth, I am not sure thats right. she is my ggrandmother, but I DO NOT KNOW WHAT HER LAST NAME WAS.
Odell,

I think you'd find that Gordon Fullerton would be the last person to call himself a "professional genealogist." His career was in accounting and, when tax time approached, he shut out everything else. To the best of my recollection through our communications for a good 15+ years, he never claimed anything more than a tremendous interest in the history of the Fullerton name and those who bear it. He did, however, do a great service for all of us with similar interests and his retirement from the project some years back was a real loss.

My Thomas James LEMON was born on 7/11/1876 in County Monaghan to John and Harriett LEMON. Unfortunately I do not know the family for John LEMON - his parents or siblings, so cannot confirm (or otherwise) that your Thomas J. LEMON born 1840 is of the same family. I believe that John's father was called David! I am hoping to find out more about my LEMON family this year. Kind regards, Elizabeth

Hi,
I just came across this posting. My GGG grandfather was John McCandless. Margaret Shields was his second wife. (John and his first wife, Elizabeth are buried in the Brampton Pioneer cemetery.) What was the date of Margaret's death, I could not find that?
Sheila

Fullertons of Antrim and Greencastle circa 1750-1850

I'm looking for any photos of grave markers or Carte De Vista family member photos for my Humphrey Fullerton ancestors from Antrim and Greencastle circa - 1750-1875, for my personal genealogy. Any help would be very much appreciated! I have an early 1/6th plate daguerreotype and an ambrotype, circa 1850, that are likely of my ancestors from this area. If anyone has an interest I will gladly email a digital scan of them. Also have a copy of Humphrey (1746-1792) will if of interest. Many thanks - Phelps Lyman Fullerton.
