Hi Sharon, thank you so much for the further info. Do you find it a little odd that Karl was spelled with K in US and with a C in Prussia? I would have thought it would be the other way around. Am I wrong that Grandpa Carl in Lynden spelled his with a C? Merle had told me that. If you are in Washington this winter, we would love to get to see you and would drive for miles.

Carl Fullner

Carl Fullner came from Germany where he was in prussian calvary. His wife was Louisa Maria Augusta Pehl whom he married in 1884 in Germany before coming to Nebraska 1887. He then came to Washington state in 1890. He had 11 children the oldest of whom was Paul our grandfather, then Annie, Edith,Emil, Mitta, Emma,Franz, Max, Agnes, William, Otto. Paul's sister Annie had 11 children and most of the others had families
so there are quite a few of us at present, though all of the brothers and sisters have died as of two years ago. Carl was born January 20, 1859, the son of Frederick and Mary (Necks)Fullner. This genealogy is available in detail through Family History Centers (Mormon). Let me know if I can be of further help.

So I am talking to Marlene or another Sheryl?
When you say Carl Fullner father do you mean the father of Carl Fullner? If so Frederick (Carl's Dad) stayed in Germany when Carl immigrated in 1887. Both Frederick and Mary died in Germany. Carl himself was born in 1859 and so probably could not be Wilhelm's brother.Yes, we
did have some relatives in Stanton. I have post cards addressed to Paul ( Carl's first son) from cousin Henry and cousin Adolph Fullner in Stanton, 1912. I'd love to exchange e-mail or Christmas cards with Stanton relatives to renew and explore the ties. We are looking for brother of Carl who was gamekeeper for Henry Weinhardt (of brewery fame) in St. Louis. Any clues on that? We will keep look-out for Lorenz. We do have some Lawrence Fullners--phonetically close.

is spacer text used to space the page

Sorry, Marlene, no date but 1890 sounds good to me. I couldn't find any Veersteeg businesses except for a psychatrist. I did find a Lester Fullner in the phone book living in NW Portland which is where Nicolai street is. 9155 NW Marshall. He was the only one.

Herman worked there in 1890. Also said boards south side Nicolai at brickyard. Its hard to find info when your over 1200 miles away. I thank you alot.
marlene To me the photo looks old.

Sorry it took me a while to reply back. I was wondering if Carl Fullner father is a brother to my direct relative. My relative is Wilhelm George Fullner, born in 1820 in Prussia. Some of the Fullner's that live at stanton, Nebraska come from Cuming County before they moved to Stanton County. My relatives were friends with them. A William Fullner that moved to Stanton actually was married to my Wilhelm Fullner daughter. She was bitten by a rattle snake while pregnant. The baby was born and baptized two years later in Cuming County. This William moved to Stanton County and got married and had a family. I believe that he is your relation. If you come across any Lawrence Fullner family in Washington State. Let me know. Write back.

I have talked with Max in Washington. I believe this Carl Fullner father was a brother to my direct relative, Wilhelm Fullner, born early 1800's. They came to the U.S. in the 1850's. Settled in Dodge County Wisconsin for about 10 years before coming to Nebraska. You do have some relatives here at Stanton, Nebraska. If you ever come across any of my direct family that moved to Washington state that I mentioned, let me know. Thanks!
