There were two girls, Linda and Della -- who are my first cousins and who I am in contact with... I would be more than happy to hook you up... My e-mail address is geri.green@sbcglobal.net...

I don't know if this helps any but I'm trying to research my grandfather's family. His name is Arthur Fulson, died in 1988, lived in Atoka, buried in Bokchito. His father was Andrew Fulson/Fulsom but I can't find any information on him. He died when my grandfather was young, so we don't have much information. I think Andrew's name could have been Arthur and they just called him Andrew. And most of my family were Choctaw Freedmen.

Hi BRoe7, I am a decendent of Ethel Mae's. She is my grandfathers sister. At first it was thought that Ethel Mae may have been killed by her husband Bill Dosier, because shortly after her disappearance he gave his children to relatives and married someone else. But, then I heard the Dosier children hired a private detective to find Ethel, and he found her years later in jail for drunkeness. I would have to look back on records to give you the city and state, but both her, and my grandfather Oscar Fulsom had drinking problems. I have photo's of them, and their mother Willie, who was believed to be full blood Indian, and won in a poker game. Terree

looking for any information on Henry J Fulson, born 1844 in Missouri, died 1889 in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma and his wife Catherine, born 1846 in Arkansas. Have found the Civil War Pension Fund for same and have copy of 1880 Prairie, Arkansas census. There were three children listed on the 1880 census. Would like to know more about the family other than daughter Mary Francis Fulsom married William A Chastain. I have the Chastain portion of the family history, but very little about Mary Francis Fulsom's family. You can contact me: maryellen644@yahoo.com. Would really like to know if this family - or Catherine - has a Native American history since her father's birth is given as France and her mother's birth is given as Tennessee.

I just read the post concerning The Fulsoms and Chickasaws. In the Handbook of Texas, It says some chickasaws migrated to East Texas (Nacogdoches area). This is where My Ggrandfather was from... William Fulsom. On the 1900 Censes of Shelby County he was 19 yr. old and a boarder. There is not a 1890 Census and the 1880 is inconclusive. Can anyone match this up for me. William married Addie Windham. Thanks for any and all help.

The Anchahubbi bros could have taken the Fulsom name, but David is listed elsewhere as Anchahubbi through the time of his death. I have a contact with that family that may know.
Glen, this is why we should know our relatives. I have an aunt that lives in Oklahoma City. I can not remember her name. I am the youngest in my family. The sister next to me was 15 years older. They remember your family but I do not. I do not know my dad's sister because she was long gone and I think lived up north for a long time. If you get to meet the Rev. Tucker(by the way there are two Rev. Tuckers) and his wife, ask them about Ada's (Mrs. Tucker's mother) and Arthur's(my dad's) sister that lives in Oklahoma City. I think that her name is Bertha. This aunt will probably remember your family. I do not know a last name. The Rev. James Henry Tucker is the one that your want to
meet. The other Rev. Tucker is his brother.

Fulson/Fulsom is a Choctaw (Native American) Name. It is very common in southeaster Oklahoma because the Choctaw of the Five Civilized Tribes were brought to this area. My Fulson Family came in with the Chicksaw Indian Group as black slaves. My sisters know of the Crest Woodbury Fulson's--you are cousins to the Arthur Fulson group that I am a part of. One of my sisters attended the California Reunion. Oklahoma City is a good place to look for Lee Fulson/Fulsom relatives. My Aunt Ada Fulson Jenkins has several daughters living in Oklahoma. Look up the church of the Rev. James Tucker and his wife is a Fulson descendant and can help you find others. I do not know the name of his church but it is Baptist. Good Luck
