Robert A(R) and George Fulton were brothers, age 14 and 16, listed in the 1850 Census in Wheatfield Township, Ingham County, Michigan, living in the household of Eri Whithey. Robert was listed as being the head of household in 1960 census in Lansing, Michigan, with a wife named Hannah Barnes Fulton and three children named Mary, age 4 yrs, George, age 2 yrs, and Hannah, age 4 mo. We know that Robert enlisted in the 8th Regiment, Co. A, in 1864 and was killed before Petersberg, VA on June 17, 1864. His widow remarried and we believe had two other children with the name Fulton at the time of her remarriage. We know nothing of George and know nothing of their origin, except that they were born in New York State. If anyone knows anything about these two men and from whence they came, or knows anything of Robert's widow and children, other than Mary and George (my husband's great grandfather), please share your information with us.
