I am searching for information on James Fulton. He was a friend of my husbands and they lived in the "back of the yards" neighborhood of Chicago Ill. James was in the Navy when he committed suicide sometime in 1984 or 1985 while stationed on the East Coast. James was in his mid-20's. I would appreciate any information.

Thanks,

I really don't have much information on Ad Pittman. My mother, Effie's daughter, told me he was a fireman and he died as the result of being kicked in the head by a horse or mule. I do not know where he and Mary Elizabeth were living at the time of his death. My mother said Mary never remarried. I would greatly appreciate any photos you could send.

My mother did tell me that when Mary was about 16 years old, she had a baby - a little girl - named Pearl. Mary was not married at the time - she was living at home and her parents helped her raise the little girl.

How are you related to Mary Elizabeth?

Pam

Hi Pete,
That would be great - my email address is a.w.davidson@open.ac.uk
Jenny Fulton was born Janet Elizabeth Abercrombie in Glasgow in 1883 and died in 1954. Her brother-in-law married Catherine Davidson - hence the connection.
I am in touch with Catherine's great granddaughter who is interested in the Fulton family - so would pass on the photo. Jenny only became a teacher after her husband's death in 1920 - he was an accountant
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
Alan
Did you find out any more about this lady? I was born in Botany Bay, as was all my mother's family. Jenny Fulton was long retired by the time I attended the school but my aunt remembers her as a kind and patient teacher. After my mother died I found a box of photographs when I was clearing her house. Among the pictures was a portrait of Jenny which she had signed on the back. If this is of interest to you I could scan it and e-mail it to you.

Best regards,
Pete.

Thanks Tom..but I can't pin either of them down on there.
I did manage to find death details about their father Major Timothy Drake Fulton who died last year plus photos of his memorial service (Arlington National Cemetery ).

There was a photo of one of his sons, daughter-in-law and their daughter accepting the flag that was draped over Tim's coffin. Don't know which son though...but he so looks like his father Tim, when I last saw him in England when he first married my cousin in 1968.

Just happened to look at this message board. Been a while since I posted my inquiry. Looking for a Thomas FULTON born before 1800 that lived in Augusta/Monongalia Counties of Virginia. He is not in any census records. The Thomas Fulton I am searching had a daughter Elizabeth by a Native American. He must have lived in Monongalia/Preston Counties for much of the 1800s because people around there knew him. That's all I've got.

Hi, jburt114,
Thanks so much for the info! My father grew up for at least part of his childhood in Long Beach, CA. He was born in Pennsylvania, however, in about 1923. We don't know if or for how long his father Clarence may have lived with them, and we're not absolutely sure that the Clarence O. Fulton who died in southern California is the right Clarence. If your great-grandfather could have been his father (if the times and places fit), please let me know. My email address for genealogical contacts is candypmc@yahoo.com.
Thanks again for your reply!
