I am trying to track down information, including parents of a Stanbury Funk. He died in 1858 and is burried alon side his wife, Josephine Missillier, in Bellport, LI, NY. I know that Stanbury was born in 1814, but I don't know where. If in Germany, I would like to lnow what city and when he emigrated. I am guessing that he was born in the New York / Newark / Jersey City area. He was called "Captain" and was supposed to be a sailing merchant.

His wife, Josephine, and their son were killed in a freak accident while sailing on Long Island sound. That was in 1856, two years before Stanbury's death.
