I have listed a John Funk being the father of Jacob. His mother's name is Nancy. John was born in Maryland in 1796 and Nancy was born in Kentucky in 1800. Jacob and Susanna were married August,29,1837. The information I have is that John moved to Jassamine county Kentucky where he died in 1861. John's father Peter Funk was born in Germany in 1772 and also died in Jessamine county Kentucky, although I have no date of his death. I have more information on this Funk family going back to 1723 in Germany. I hope this helps.
