Dear Lindsay
I am not sure that the names you have furnished me with are connected to Henry Francis Fynn who was in Natal. It is possible that the Fynns you mention may have been cousins/brothers of the original Henry Francis in Northern Donegal in Ireland, but I have a comprehensive list of all the names of the Fynn family in South Africa and how they are linked and the names you mention aren't the same. I will keep digging though - you never know we might find a connection as there are so many. The other interesting tit-bit Imy mother discovered on a trip to Cape Town was that the settler Henry Francis Fynn not only had two white wives but at least five black wives so we have a lot of black African Fynn cousins!
I will let you know if I unearth any more information.
Regards
Danielle Howard
