Good news, we have managed to trace my husbands family over in Holland. His father died in 1993, but his sister is still alive. They spoke on the tlephone for the first time last night, and Bob has Aunts and Uncles in Holland. The correct spelling was GARDESLEN. Thanks again for all of your help.
