My great grandmother was Mary "Molly" Gabbert. Her father was named Mason Gabbert --I have been searching for Mason J Gabbert but he may have been James Mason.... The Mason that was my great grandfather was married to a Frances Butts. My grandmother Thelma remembered her mother's (Molly Gabbert's) brothers to be named Howard, Henry, and (Walton) Herschel. I have very little info on them and wish to find more. I am wondering if the Howard Owen Gabbert that was my great grandmother's brother could be your father or be related to your father?
