Hi,
My name is Hans Gaber. I know Victor Gaber. He is on portraits on my wall and he is my idol. Not like American idol LOL ha haha. Anyway i really like my name. Do you like my name. Want to be friends. I don't have alot of friends. Well, guess that is all for today. Thanks for listening to my life story. I love all Gaber's and dislike all Muell's because they are trash.

I know your message has been here many years, but I just saw it. I am curious about my parent's heritage. My father's name was (he's deceased) Walter Ladislaus Gaber. His father's name was Joseph, and I believe his mother's name was Ann. My father was born in Carrolltown, PA and was the youngest of 11 kids (a few of their names were Mike, Helen, Mary, and Joseph). Some of them migrated to Cleveland, OH and then retired in FL (all are deceased). My father was the only one of the kids that migrated out west, eventually to Oregon. The family were coal mine works. I believe they originally migrated from Poland, but my Father wasn't real clear about that.

If you, or any of your Gaber relations, know of my father's family, please let me know.

There is an original "Gbur" line from Pottlitz, West Prussia.
In Wisconsin and Minnesota the name became Gaber, Gabur,

I have received copies of my GGG-Grandarents info from the Wisconsin Historical Societry. Interesting that the surname Gaber, is also spelled Geberin and have also found info under the surname Goepper.

Hi Erika,

My name is Eugene Gaber. Zhann is my uncle. My grandpa's name is Marcus Gaber. As Zhann mentioned in his reply we lived in the area of Ukraine bordered with Romania...
I live in Canada now (Toronto)...and I am a bit exsited now, since I always tried to find my relatives/roots....

So...if you are interested we can continue this investigation together :)

I'm looking for info on Karen Gaber/Gabber (not sure on the spelling) She would be in her 60's if she's still living. Around 1957 (give or take a year) she married Havlyn Daniel/Daniels Jr. He was born Oct 1939 and pasted away Mar. 1963. He was my dad's brother. If anyone knows of her, please contact me. I'm I don't know your grandpa, but I'm from the part of the world hi was from. I came to USA in 1988 from West Ukraine and I think that at the time your grandpa was born it was part of Romania; there have been not a lot of Gabers there at that time. Who's your family??

Hello! My grandmothers name was Ceceila Ethel Harkins Burke Gaber. She was married to a "Whitey" Gaber. That was his nickname. I remember my uncle telling me something about a Herman. My grandmother lived in Pittsburgh, Pa. I could ask my uncle for info if you would like. Maybe there is a connection.

Hello! I believe we may have a few things in common. My grandmother on my fathers side was Ceceila Ethel Harkins Burke Gaber.

I know she was married to a "Whitey" Gaber.

I would have to ask my uncle, who is her son, for more info. but if you want I can.

I will try to get some information over the weekend, it may or may not be a match, hopefully, it is. I have not been able to find much on my fathers side. Also, I was adopted, so Ethel Gaber is actually my adoptive grandmother.

My grandfathers name was Thomas Walter Burke, married to Ethel Cecelia Harkins, after that marriage was over, she married who I beleive is Herman Gaber, they called him "Whitey"

I don't know if you found the right Brian, but I do know that he was contacted a couple of years ago by a Wisconsin Brian Gaber who was also doing research. Gaber, I know we have family with the gaber name
as far south as Alexzandria MN. I have many Uncles
most of which are dead. Here is a list of my Grandfathers
siblings.. Vider, Louis, Lonie, Jack, thats all I can
remember, the other 3 are dead. I have contacted
One Lee Gaber in WA she isn't sure if i'm
related or not to her, being that her husband
is dead. We keep in contact =), although we might not even
been related. What I Do know is that my grandfather
spoke both German and Polish, because the boarders
back then during the war changed so much and he was

Michael GABER [ ? 1918]. Michael died in the great flu epidemic of 1918.
Wife: Anna (SPEICHER) GABER (Had 6 siblings: Lena Link, Margaret Luffy[had 2kids: Sister maura and Marlene], Clara Young, Edward, Nicholas, and George)

Michael and Anna had 8 Children, one of which was Flora Ann Gaber, my grandmother. Suspect GABERs immigrated from Germany or a German speaking country. Any information would be helpful.
