I was at the Historical Society of Berks County yesterday (Sat) and looked at the book I mentioned to you. (I live in Reading so its not a big deal for me to stop in there.) It is a very thin book that documents the tale of a heartfelt, life long friendship between William Francis Gable (a.k.a. The Giant) and his long term friend, H. Luther Frees (a.k.a. The Midget). The book contains a photo of both men. Below William Gable's is personalized note that he signed on Febreuary 12, 1917. As I mentioned before, this Wm. Gable is from Altoona and I believe is the son of Issac & Hannah (Wollerton) Gable.

My family tree contains a William (Wilhelm)A. Gable (1837 - 1891) and a William F. Gable (1864 - 1930), son of Joseph (Jr.) and Sophia (Stein) Gable. He was married to Mary C. ... maiden name not known (1865 - 1941).
