Can anyone please help with this mystery? We are trying to trace our grandmother, who we never knew. We know she was of German ancestry and apparently born in New York and married a German man with the last name of GABLER. She had four children with him: 3 daughters and a son in order here: Anna, Thomas, Margarete and Catherine. At age 33 she married Thomas Conde, whom we believe adopted the four children from her previous marriage. They lived in Kings county, New York, Ridgewood area. We would like to know May's maiden name [she also was German] and the name of her husband, surnamed GABLER who hailed from Wuerttemberg, Germany.

We have run into a dead end. Can find no marriage or birth or death records for May, nor can we find the first name of our grandfather. If anyone can help, please contact us and thank you.
