The Drouin marriages have him listed as Jean-Baptiste, and Loiselle has him listed as plain Jean but I have a note he was J-Evangeliste in St-Joseph de Chambly, No 32, 1706-1964
That would make sense, since he had a brother Jean-Baptiste.... I don't seem to have a copy of those pages, but they might turn up.
