I'm trying to find info about Felix Gabourie that came to Tweed area & helped found Georgetown. I have his dates as 1805-1850 (he married Rachael Woodcock). Their son Felix Jr. married Ellen O'Neil. Felix Jr. & Ellen are my gr-gr grandparents.
All I can find on Felix Sr (born 1805) is the info from Georgetown. Family lore is that he came from Trois-Rivieres & that his parents had immigrated from France. And, that there was royalty involved.
Does anyone have any info?
