Familysearch.com lists an Abraham Gabriel born abt. 1723 in Franklin County, Pennsylvania who married Rebecca ? abt. 1744 in Antrim Twp., Franklin County Pennsylvania. Father's name is Richard Derrick Gabriel. Does anyone have information as to whether the above is accurate? Has it been documented? If so, this would answer some apparent discrepancies with his son William (wife Nancy Thompson) who was born in 1762.

In 1758 my ancestor Gabriel Philipps lived in Bucks County, PA when he married Hannah Brower. So far there is no other earlier documentation for Gabriel. (Later documentation of him with surname Phillips is substantial.)

DNA surname matches indicate we have possible Welsh origins and we may have been Welsh. Gabriel would have been born around 1725.

Welsh naming patterns survived in PA and could mean that Gabriel's father may have been Philip ap Gabriel. Do you know of any ap Gabriel in your bloodline?

"Mr Gabriel" married Mrs Mary Sue [Caylor] Nunnelee between 1960 and 1988 and that's all I know about him.
Mary Sue had one child, Jimmie Eugene Nunnelee (1960-2006), by her marriage to Robert Eugene Nunnelee but when she died in 1988 she was married to "Mr Gabriel".
Jimmie had 3 half-siblings from his father's other marriages and also half-siblings from his mother's remarriages but I don't know who they are.
Jimmie and I are Nunnelee cousins and I would like to continue researching his mother's ancestry in his memory.

Colby, Clark Co, Wisconsin GABRIEL family St Mary's Cemetery

I am looking for the wife of August Joseph GABRIEL, Irene Carter. She is the daughter of Pearl Sherwood and Earl Carter. She was born in California, but the SHERWOOD family is from Wisconsin. Several family members moved to California because of health reasons.

We lost contact with Pearl's family and am hoping to complete this branch. We have some lovely pictures and history to pass on as well. I've attached a few.

Pearl Marion Sherwood was the daughter of Orin Sherwood and Lillian Stevenson. Orin was living in Antigo in the 1920 WITH Irene, his granddaughter.

I recently found out that she passed away in California in 1980 and is buried in St Mary's Catholic Cemetery, in Colby, WI with her husband and his family.

I am hoping that someone in the Gabriel family knows our Irene.

I believe the John Gabriel you are looking for was the oldest son of Jacob Gabriel. John was born in Pennsylvania,moved to North Carolina with his Family and married in North Carolina and had 3 sons(wife's and children's names are unknown).He then moved to Kentucky and later onto Missouri and was murdered around 1835. I believe I have more information but will have to look for it.

Jose was married in Lomba da Maia and moved to Brazil for a few years. He died in Conceicao in 1947.

Parents were Joseph or Josef Gabriel, mother was Marie (maiden name Vidourek) Gabriel, daughters Marie or Mary, Agnes, Milada or Mildred, Victoria or Viktarie and one son Joseph Gabriel Jr. They all immigrated to St. Louis Mo. in October of 1906, knowing very little English only speaking Bohemian. Parents Josef and Marie returned to Czech Republic with youngest daughter Mildred and lived the rest of their lives there.

Yes, my husbands line is of the Athens, Ohio group. His g grandmother, Louisa Gabriel was the d/o Elias Gabriel. I don't have my info here, but I believe Elias' father was Jarret Gabriel. They moved to Indiana. I have quite a bit of information on Gabriels, most of it has come from the internet. Some from other family research that has been done. I know that some of what I have may be incorrect as they get so confusing since they name their children after one another.

I forgot to mention that I looked into this country and found out that it lies between France and Germany. It's a beautiful country. At times it has been owned by France and other times Germany, so that German part may very well be correct. Have you seen photos of any of the Gabriel's? I haven't. My husbands great grandmother was the Louisa Gabriel, d/o Elias Gabriel. I sure would like to see photos of any of them. I know that at the library in Marion, Grant County, Indiana Genealogy section there is suppose to be a photo of Louisa, but I've never seen it.

Long time ago I got cadastre documents which are from 1890 - 1944 about the villiage Wicko(Vietzig) near Lębork( Kreis Lauenburg ). They include many border protocols (Grenzverhandlung ) and cadastre drawings( handriss ). All those files were written there by special official and descibe borders of all parcels. All of them were also sighned by owners of the land, thats why I have signatures of all land owners and officials from Vietzig, and that are:
Gabriel Herman, Gabriel Otto.

My friend purchased a box full of old photos at a garage sale. Upon inspection, they date from late 1800's to the 1960's. One name that is prominent in the photos is John S. Gabriel. It appears he had lived in Spartansburg, PA. Later photos appear to be from Littleton, CO and Englewood, CO. Many of the photos are labled. I am looking for descendants of my great grandfather Leopold Gabriel of Klein Katz West Prussia. He and his wife Maria Magdalene Schachschneider had seven children one of whom was my grandfather Erich Reinhardt. I am looking for descendants of the other siblings namely Otto Waldemer, Helene Alice, Johannes Friedrich Wilhelm, and Curt Willy Bernhard. I believe Otto moved at sometime to Berlin but I don't know what became of the others.

My mother was given a Bible that was bought in an antique store in London By her friends son when he was in the service. It was published by the order of the Queens most excellent majestry. The Printed inscription is to my darling niece Jessie upon her marriage August 10, 1874. and signed in Quill Pen Ruth Gabriel. Nothing else as far as family history is filled out. This bible is leather bound with Brass or gold reinforcement bindings and clasp to close it. It is a large Bible. My mother is curious as to why Jessie never filled it out and hopes to find her most current directly related descendant, so this bible can go home

Friederick Wilhelm Weitzel b.1810 of Leuna, Germany married Wilhelmina Henrietta Gabriel b.1813, daughter of William Gabriel and Wilhemina Karolinn Henrietta Dochow of Templin, Germany, in 1835. The Weitzels had 3 daughters, Katherine b.1837, Mariaa Christina Rudolphina b.1839 and Maria b.1845. They moved to Wetzlar in 1846 where he was an engineer who built canals and docks. They came to America 1858 with brother Peter Weitzel b.1812 and future son-in-law Jacob Olbrich b.1838. A sister, Christina Weitzel Ehle stayed behind. They rendezvous with a younger brother John Weitzel b.1828+/- who left Germany in 1848 and was a Lutheran minister in McHenry County, Illinois area. Any info about Friederick’s or Henrietta’s or Jacob's ancestors would be very much appreciated.

He married Margaret Jane Howard (1893-1971, daughter of John Wesley Howard and Belle Zonia Harrison). They had 2 girls, Leona (1908-1999) and Lorena (1913-2000).

He married Sylvia Louella Beverage ca 1922 in Dabney, Conway County, Arkansas. Sylvia (1903 - 1993)was the daughter of Adam Asbury Beverage and Aldeca Josephine Brock. In 1939 Jeff and Sylvia were living in Atkins, Arkansas. They divorced sometime after 1940 and Sylvia later married Tom Swaim. Funeral services for Mrs. E. G. Gabriel, who died in Washington, D.C., Tuesday morning, will be held this afternoon at three o’clock from Race Street Methodist Church and interment will be in Oakwood. Rev. J. C. Grose and Rev. E. W. Fox will conduct the services. Mrs. Gabriel’s body will arrive in Statesville today and will remain at the chapel of the Nicholson Funeral Home until the hour of the funeral.

The former Zettie Mae Sherrill, Mrs. Gabriel was the daughter of the late Martha Augusta Sherrill and James Wate Sherrill of this county and was born May 21, 1875.
She was married on the 25th of December, 1894 to Mr. Eddie Garland Gabriel of Iredell county and in 1919 they came to Statesville to make their home. Mr. Gabriel died in November 1944. Since his death Mrs. Gabriel has spent most of her time with her children and has been in Washington with her daughter, Mrs. J. A. Gabrys, during the recent months. She had been sick for six weeks but her death came unexpectedly Tuesday morning in a Washington hospital. Mrs. Gabriel joined the Race Street Methodist Church when she came to Statesville to live in 1919 and was a faithful member,

Surviving here are five children: Mrs.Gabrys of Washington; Mr. C. A. Gabriel, member of the Statesville Fire Department; Mrs. C. F. Claywell of Portsmouth, Va.; Mrs. S. C. Sidelinger of Mt. I am looking for information on my grandfather Erich Reinhardt Gabriel born in Klein Katz, Neustadt, West Prussia on November 12, 1884. He was in the Prussian Army starting in 1904. He was a premier chef sometime after leaving the army. He jumped ship in New York harbor sometime after 1909 I think-don't know why. I can find nothing on his background. I do know that Klein Katz is now Maly Kack, Poland. I want to find out about his parents and any sisters and brothers that he may have had. Any help greatly appreciated.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Albert Gabriel; sisters: Clara and Francis; brothers: John, Joe Louis, and Manuel. She is survived by daughters: Elaine Carter, Betty Cegielski and husband, Larry; sons: David and wife, Mary Ann, Lester and wife, Regina, Thomas, Daniel and Eddie Gabriel; sister, Rosalee Wagner; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Hello Gabriel researchers,
Does anyone have connection to Hannah Gabriel who married Thomas Evans? They had a son Evan Gabriel Evans who was born in Berks Co. Pa in 1810. Evan married Nancy Chambers b. 1831 Estill Co. KY. I believe Hannah's father was Jacob Gabriel b. 1754 and her mother was Catherine Unknown.
I would like to have more information on my Gabriel line.

and Evalena Catherine Lourenco
(dob 7-19-1901 in Sonora, CA.)
We are looking for relative of their parents, my great great grandparents kin.
John's Dad was John Baptista his mother was
Rosa Imilia Silva.
Evalena's dad was Jose de Frietas Lourenco (dob ? in Fajam Grande, Azore) her mother was Maria Fagundes (dob 9-20-1878 in Fajam Grande, Azore).
Jose's dad was John de Frietas Lourenco his mom was Mariana Frietas.
Maria's dad was Antonio Fagundes her mom was Mariana Gabriel.
My Grandfather is Louis Leslie Vieira (dob 7-9-1915 in Ceres,CA.) we are also looking for relatives of his parents and grandparents.
his mother was Maria Adelaide Teixeria (dob? 7-3-1894 in Flores, Azore).
his father was Antonio Jose Vieira (dob? in Flores, Azore?)
Antonio's dad was Jose Francisco Viera mom was Maria Emilia Florinda.
And that is all we know.
Any help or advice in researching further would be greatly appreciated.

Hope someone can help. My grandfather John Antonio Gabriel born Dec 1868 in the Azore Island of Flores. He found his way to California and passed away in 1948. What I would like to know is how he got here and when. Do know he became a citizen of the US in 1900 in Merced, County.
