I spoke with my mother about you last night. She was completly happy about this. When I say your name Don, she imediatly start to say..It´s him, it´s him...
Well I was looking info about my grandfather and I found a american brother. Yes I belive Good moves in misteryous way.
Let me talk about my father:
Well he was a very clever man. Very friendly and religious, I remember that we always went to church every sunday morning. His father side of family was Italian and the mother side Spanish. These mix of genes (wich you have somehow) tells a lot of his temper, explosive. He was very energized , you know waking up about 08 AM on sundays to wash the car, clean stuffs and all. I guess those things are related to his USA education. He stop smoking in the end of the 60s and drinking in the end of 70s.
He loves the beach. We almost every weekend goes to a close beach and spent the weekend.
He was a loving father and husband. We as a CFO for major companies as Sharp, Phillip Morris, Heublein, Xerox in Brazil. Spoked besides english a fluent french and spanish. I handle english only.
In 1982 he decided to purchase a motorcycle and we were all up against. He said " Its my faith to die in a plane accident or a motorcycle , and I can´t run for it". If gives you creeps have a idea what we felt hering these. He said that a couple of times before his destiny come true. He said to me he find a Gabriele wich was parent related to us in IDAHO. We miss any contact with they due my fathers death. They were probabily related to his grandfather. Their father was, my grandfathers brother. We lived in Rio de Janeiro from 76 to 79. Our younger brother was born in there.
We had a hard time after his death. Yes I agree with you, how hard was to you, about my father. My mother and I can´t explain why he never contact you after. He said to my mother that his former family forbided him to reach any contact. He accepted. My mother and I believe, that he had to stand to for you. She adviced him
to look for you and he replyed that was a old issue, that your mother married again and also your grandmother, told him that she changed your name ( now we know It wasn´t true ) and addopted you as her stepson.
I think in the early 60s all this subjects were hard to deal with, very different from now.
Despite I am not Mormo, I was related to the Mormons and Salt Lake City due to my fathers history. Imagine how I felt on this late winter games wich I saw the city all day. It´s my dream to known the city, someday will become true. Always tried to studied and live in USA (something like a wish to walk on his shoes!)
In a time (60s) that going abroad (in Brazil) was a big adventure, my father become a family hero.
