Beginning search of ancestors and descendants on my mother's side (Gabrielsen, later shortened to Gabriel by 1919). My mother is Geraldine Ruth Gabriel (husband Eli S. Pohan, married in Singapore 1951), born 6/16/1919 in Toledo, Ohio, USA. My mother's father is Hjalmar (Americanized to Elmer later) Gabrielsen (mispelled to Gabrilson on his birth certificate) (wife Myrtle Cone, married in Manistee, Michigan 1898). My mother's father's father is Gabriel A. Gabrielsen (wife Antoinette, marriage date unknown, assumed Norway) both of whom immigrated to the USA in the 1800"s. I would appreciate any information from anyone with links to this family.
