Gaede, Eugene N.
EUGENE (GENE) N. GAEDE, 70, retired Assistant Plant Superintendent of Cargill, died Friday, September 14, 2007, in Calimesa, California. Gene was born on April 6, 1937, in Hillsboro, Kansas, to Henry and Mary Lou (Gibson) Gaede. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Darlene Peterson. He was extensively involved with numerous charitable organizations throughout his life as generosity to others was paramount to him. The organizations most prominent in his life were the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Sons of the American Legion. Gene also achieved the 3rd Degree of the Masonic Order status while living in Buffalo, New York. He looked forward to spending time with his family, loved to travel and was a member of the Gran Road Runners RV Club. Gene is survived by his wife, Anita; and children and their families: Deb and Troy Carroll, Kevin and Christine Gaede, Beth and Rod Moore, Mari and Terry McCrary, Bob and Cece Smith, Steve Smith, Darla and Bob Garrison, Lori and Mike Esau, Teri and Alan Bryan, Brenda and Joe Blanco, as well as siblings and their families: Marlene Anduss, Charlene Sullivan, Lugene Gaede, Virgene Gaede, Jolene West, Rolene Gaede, Ragene Gaede. Gene has a current total of 21 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Plans for the memorial service are to be announced.
