Thanks for the information. While in Galveston, TX recently, I made a photocopy from the microfilm page of the handwritten passenger listing, which are in the Rosenberg Library. 'Okla'. was clearly not 'OR' on the document. The town name was illegible but the state showed Okla., so I thought perhaps it was Redfork (which was once a town in Okla) and has now been changed to Clinton, I've since been informed. There's an internet listing for a cemetery in Redfork, OK. Because I had never heard of the town of Medford, OK and because I knew there is a Medford, OR, I assumed there had been a mistranscription of the 'state' in the destination transcription. The error in the transcription was the 'state' and not the 'town' which was erroneously transcribed, and is verifiable through your information. Do you suggest that I contact the port museum (with your website verification) and ask if a correction to their records can be made?
