Searching for information on Maria Gaetano and husband, Angelo Manetta (Mannetta. They had at least one child, Carmine who died in Brooklyn in 1936. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

YES, that is my family. My father and mother are David Joseph Gaetano (Jeanne Marie Miller). Anthony Napolean Gaetano and Lucy Arline Foster are my paternal grandparents.
I am very, very interested in the geneology work you have done. I tried to contact you but it didn't seem to go through.

Hi, Maria,

I have been researching the Carrier, Foster, and Marcotte lines for years. Was your grandfather Anthony Gaetano, born 5 June 1918 in Byer S. Mohoney Township, Indiana Co., PA, and married 2 September 1941 in Butler, Butler Co., PA to Lucy Arline Foster, who was born 16 February 1918 in Cass Lake, MN, the daughter of David Franklin Foster and Mary Louise Carrier? Lucy and Anthony's children (and their spouses) are/were: Nancy Tomasina Gaetano (John Dennis Flynn); Anthony Densmore Gaetano (Barbara Dungey); David Joseph Gaetano (Jeanne Marie Miller); Dino Foster Gaetano; and Maureen Ellis Gaetano (Andrew J. Aldrin).
If this is your extended family, please contact me. I have been working (by mail and e-mail) with Lorraine Foster Rings on the Carrier family genealogy and can trace the family back for centuries in Quebec and Acadia [Nova Scotia].
My wife Karen, by the way, is your cousin: her great-grandfather was Francois "Frank" Carrier (1855-1943), the father of Mary Louise Foster Carrier.

My great grandfather is Salvatore Gaetano. He was born about 1886 and died 1927 in Bridgeport, CT. He has a family in Bridgeport, but it is also said he had a wife in PA that he left before he came to CT. He has a brother, Frank Gaetano, that lived in PA. If this sounds about right I would be happy to exchange information with you.

My mother, Antonetta Gaetano was born in the USA but went back to Gioia when she was eight years old. Her mother's name was Margaret and she had three sisters, Maria Rose, Fiorilla and Giulia. They had one brother, Vincenzo. Their father's name was Giovanni. They were all deceased by the 1940s, and in this country. I hope this can be of some help to you.

Hi, I am a distant cousin of Bernadette and she asked me to reply to your message because I have more of the research written down. Her name is Maria Lucia Gaetano born September 9, 1938 probably in Morcone, Benevento, Italy. Her Husband's name is Vito Antonio Tacinelli DOB October 29, 1832 son of Giuseppi Tacinelli.Maria Lucia is my great-great grandmother on my mother's side. I know there are many Gaetano's but if you have any info that might help it would be wonderful.

looking for information on my g grandmother, Maria Lucia Gaetano, dob- Sept. 9 1838..She was married to VitoAntonio Tacinelli..The had seven children..Giuseppi,Dominica, Pasqulina, Francesco,Saverio, Maria Carmela, and Giovanni( My grandfather)..They resided in the Bronx,New York area.and had saloons during their time.Any info given on the Gaetano family would be much appreciated..Thank-you in advance. Thank-you for replying..Your right..unless we do the reseach..we won't know..Like I said..Gaetano was my Great Grandmothers maiden name..on one document it was listed as such..I never knew either great grandparents but long to know where in Benevento & America they made their homes and where they might be laid to rest..It shows them entering the USA but not leaving..so I'm only guessing I'll find them here but I'll look everywhere..Any HELP..? is appreciated a lot..Bernadette

I've been away from this site for a very long time. Perhaps if you could tell me Whether your great grandparents (Gaetano) were maternal or paternal and what your mother's maiden name was, I might have some info for you. I DID find a second cousin in the Gaetano family on this site, so it pays to be patient.

My father is David Gaetano, son of Anthony Gaetano, who is now deceased. Anthony was born around 1920. His parents were from Calabria and came to America before he was born. Anthony Gaetano grew up in PA. He lived in Maryland and his children were Nancy, Dennis (d.), David, Dino (d.) and Maureen.

Hi Gio...

It was so nice talking to you! After our conversation, I went to visit Margaret Fucci, Gabe Fucci's sister, children of Antoinette's youngest sister Angelina (Aunt Julia)! We looked thrpugh some of her phots and she showed me a picture of your Dad! I also looked through my genealogy and I found a copy of Margurite Zullo's birth certificate and also the name of her parents!

I am celebrating Thanksgiving with my Dad's sisters, Eleanor and Betty (also John's sisters!) . My cousins are coming in from Virginia and Maryland and want to look through my genealogy. I have been busy trying to get my journals together but I still have two boxes to include that I have collected the past two years!

Please put me in your appointment book for Tuesday night? I work until 5:00 PM ...probably a little after 6:15 PM, if that will be convenient. I will try to remember to bring the large photo of my Uncle jogn...I have a copy in my journal. Since you have a computer and I do not, it will probably be easier for me to come to your house.

DiMassa of Milford, daughter Denise DiMassa-Donofrio of East Haven CT, sister Madeline Marschall of Ocala FL and grandson Michael DiMassa-Donofrio. Funeral from Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford 06460, Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Church, Milford, interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery, on Friday, November 16, 2001.

Beloved wife and best friend for 63 years of Pasquale Teolis of Capreol. Loving mother of Antonietta Cariati (husband Oreste) of Capreol, Alfredo Teolis (wife Vitra) of Sudbury, Angelina Ricci (husband Alfred predeceased) and Josie DePratto (husband George) both of Sault Ste. Marie. Cherised grandmother of 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Dear sister of Antonio Gaetano, Giovanni Gaetano, Maria Proietti all of Montreal, and Catarina Alfiere of Itay. Predeceased by Maria Civita and Carmen Gaetano. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Anna was the "Matriarche" of the family. She was a loving, kind and caring person whose life revolved around her family. Anna was a terrific cook, the perfect wife, mother and grandmother. Interment took place at Capreol Cemetery.

Help.. Looking for info on my Great Grandfather. His name is Salvatore. He came from a providence in Italy called providence of (SP??) natzi Gannia??? He came here 10 years prior to my Great Grandmother around the time frame of 1914-1924.He resided in a town called Etna in Pittsburgh. I am looking for any brothers or sisters he may have had. I believe that he may have had a brother named "Pablo" who was the first judge in Italy.
