GÁL Rozál

I have received a record for my great great grandmother MARSA Eszter b. 1850 which indicates that her parents were MARSA István and GÁL Rozál. My great great grandmother was born in Kesckemét so it is possible that my GÁL ancestor was from around this area.
Interested to hear from anyone who may have information about my GÁL ancestor.

I am researching the Gall line in Cleveland also but it is a very common name. My husband's great grandfather Istvan Gal came to Cleveland in 1901 from Tamasi. There was a hungarian neighborhood where many immigrants settled in Cleveland near St. Elizabeth's chuch and school. Ellis island shows Erzebet/Elizabeth arriving in 1909 and 1910 census living in that area. Probably no relation to my Galls, but interesting.

My grandmother Esther Gal (Bordi) communicated with a cousin for years named Elizabeth Gal. Her daughter Kaitlin Markos is still living in Dombo Romania, I believe. Any letters you might know of that might show a connection. Esther and Elizabeth had the same grandparents: Daniel and Mary Gal from Dombo Romania.
Diana
new e-mail Robert_Diana@att.net

Searching for Gal brothers

My great grandfather was Ignac Gal (born @1858-1862, died @1914-1918). His first wife was Roza Varga. They had four sons, Bertalan, Vilmos, Barnabas or Balint, and Ignacs. Bertalan married Yolan Soter and they came to the US @ 1910-1917. Ignacs came to the US in 1922. I am looking for any information about Vilmos and Barnabas or Balint. (Not sure of name) or any information about the family while they lived in in Pogony, Nograd, Hungary. The name was spelled GAAL and GAUL in the US!
