"Fred H. Gale of Reno, Nev., a retired radio talk-show host who had a show broadcast in Boston, died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno. He was 72.
"Born in Washington, he served in the Coast Guard in 1953.
"Mr. Gale began his 45-year radio career in Lumberton, N.C. He was a disc jockey and broadcast at numerous radio stations in the Washington area. He later became a radio talk-show host and his show "Comment" ran on WNAC in Boston, WMCA in New York and WWDC in Washington. When he moved to Reno, Nev., he became known as "Mr. Reno."
"He is survived by his mother, Hallie Buskey of New Hampshire; his daughter, Bonnie Moffett of Sparks, Nev.; three sons, Danny Potts of Capon Bridge, W.Va., Geoff of Oceanside, Calif., and Tim of Huntington Beach, Calif.; five brothers, Wilton Buskey, Stephen Buskey, Walter Buskey and Raymond Buskey, all of New Hampshire and Vermont, and Charles Meister of California; three sisters, Sally Tear and Thelma Truitt, both of New Market, Md., and Trisha Buskey-Gillies; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
"No formal services will be held.
"Arrangements by Ross, Burke, and Knobel Mortuary Service, Reno."
