Frank Galicia, 64, of Cheyenne died Nov. 21 in Cheyenne.
Mr. Galicia was born Feb. 29, 1940, in Denver.
He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 26 years.
Mr. Galicia married Martha Frausto in August 1961 in Cheyenne.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, a former president and coach for
many years with the Junior League, a bilingual tutor at Johnson Junior High and a
member of Sacred Heart and Perpetual Adoration. He also taught religious educational
classes at St. Joseph's.
Mr. GAlicia is survived by his wife, Martha Galicia of Cheyenne; two sons, Adam Galicia
of Cheyenne and Matthew Galicia of Northglenn, Colo.; three daughters, Anita Galicia
of Denver, Maria Tucker of Thornton, Colo., and Conseulo Galicia of Chicago; a brother,
Ignacio (Nash) Herrera of Winnemucca, Nev.; a sister, Vera Wilson of Reno, Nev.; 11
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Herrera and Jenny Reyes Gutierrez;
and a brother, Juan Herrera.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the
Monsignor Eugene Sullivan officiating.
Interment will be in Olivet Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Roman Padilla, Michael Galicia, DaJuan Thomas, Gil Sanchez,
Frank Arias, Miguel Herrera and Ignacio (Nash) Herrera.
Honorary pallbearers will be Damitris Thomas and Josiah Thomas.
