John J Gallagher was born July 27 1874 and died Feb 27 196 in Woburn Ma. He married Mary Ann McDaid born Oct 3 1882 in Glenkeen Co Donegal. Died July 12 1954 in Woburn Ma.
(Woburn in about 10 miles north of Boston Ma)
Their children were Mary, Sally, Grace, and Rita.

Does anyone know these folks or about them?
I'd really like to learn who John's family was: parents siblings dates of birth, who siblings may have married etc.

Hi, I am looking for information about my grandfathers family. His name was Thomas Edward Galligan born 17 feb 1888 in Pierre SD we think. His siblings were Jim, John, Pat, Irean, Ed, and a few others I don't know of. He drove a train for the Santa Fe RR until he retired. I think his mother was a Mary BARRETT and his father may have been Edward Galligan/Gallager. Have found my great granfather...Edward Thomas Galligan born? Died c:1943. Brought the family to Stutsman NORTH Dakota unti 1900, then moved the family to Coal City Illinois in Grundy county and also some went to Joliet in Will county right outside Chicago,cook county. He worked for the Railroad. So, Tom was born in Jamestown, Stutsman County North Dakota 17 february 1888.

I am looking for descendents of Henry Gallager (born in Ireland) and Amelia Stewart (born ca 1811 probably in NY). They lived in Marion County, OH in 1840 and in Hancock County, OH in 1850. The children were Mary J (born ca 1836), Sarah A (born ca 1837), Jams H (born ca 1838), Peter W (born ca 1842), John S (born ca 1846 and Daniel (born ca 1849). In 1860 Amelia is married to someone else and the younger children are living in various places. I am especially interested in Amelia and anything her descendents can tell me about her. I am related to one of Amelia's brothers. I'd also like to fill in the blanks about Henry and Amelia's children and grandchildren.

Trying to find information on Henry P. Gallagher who was born about 1815 in Limerick Co, Ireland. He died Feb 1895 in Kansas City, KS and is buried there. He married (for the second time, I'm sure) Mary somebody who was born about 1866, making her 59 years younger than he. Per the census records, they had 3-4 children, the last one born when Henry was 88. The cemetery records reflect this to be true. Two surviving sons are Timothy, bor July 1891-92 and married a Hilda. he died Jan, 1966 in Kansas City, KS and they had a son, William V. Gallager. The other son was Henry, born 1895. Looking for info on Patrick (1828, Ireland) and Lydia(1848) Gallagen of the Cheatham area. Children John, Annie(a), Mary Elizabeth, Fayett(e), and Maggie. Annie and Mary both married a John R. Higgins in the 1880's. The last name appears spelled in many different ways. Shows as Gallagin in the 1880 census. Patrick may not have been the natural father of these children.

I also am trying to find my Galligar family. I know that they originated from Ireland. My great grandfather's name is John Thomas Galligar and he had a son named Thomas and William. Almost all the Galligar men in my family are named, John, William, James or Thomas. Maybe their is a connection to your Galligar.........

Margaret was my g-grandmother and married Thomas kane, probably in the late 1870's or the early1880's..but I'm not sure about the dates. I also do not know if they got married in this country or Ireland. I do know that they had 3 children.Thomas, Margaret Kane Baker and my g-father William who was born in Phil. on July 23,1885. they may not have been born in that order either. I am looking for any relatives of Luke Gallagher. At the time of his death (Late 1890's or early 1900's), he was living in NYC. He was married to Elizabeth Garrity. He had two children, Elizabeth Anastasia Carson Gallagher and Thomas Gallagher. Elizabeth was my Grandmother. She was born in 1893 (NYC) and she died in 1958 (NYC). My great grandmother, JULIA WILLIAM GALLAGHER, was born in Mobile, Alabama in 1880. Information regarding her childhood is very little but I'm hoping someone will see a connection or have some information to help me.
Her father was named PATRICK WILLIAM GALLAGHER and her mother was NENA JOSEPHINE ? (her last name could have been Buckly, Buckley, Dunlap or Baxter) One relative said Nena was born in Natchez, Mississippi and that her parents were Scottish.
Patrick was supposedly born in Ireland.
Patrick and Nena had four children:
Julia William Gallagher born 1880
Elizabeth Agnes Gallagher
James Matthew Gallagher born 1886
Betty Kathryn or Kathryn Betty
All the children were born in Mobile.
Nena died when Julia was around 9 years old and she became 'mother' to her siblings. I don't know if Patrick ever remarried.
Elizabeth and Betty never married so there are no children or grandchildren to share the history. James married Ella Blanche Reed. Their children were Adeline Lillian born 1910 in CA and she never married,Julia Elizabeth was born 1911 in CA, Kathryn Caroline and a son James WIlliam born in 1920.

They appear to be some sort of performing couple posed for a professional photo. He is in white tie and black tuxedo and she is in ballroom dress. Their names are stamped on the back of picture. She is a cousin to my great grandmother.
