Clarice, I have to beg forgiveness. The bible is in fact David's Justice of the Peace log from Ohio. I copied it around 1975 and remembered it as a bible. The Bibles are in fact Gregory and Usher Bibles. The log book also has a Gandy in one of the Court cases he decided. That probably explains why he served as J.P. when he moved to Iowa. I now know where he lived and it implies that he is buried there. I have letters from Martha Jane's sister, S.A Perkins(Sally), Tamson and Margaret. At least each are signed Sister------ to Jane. She kept the land from Talleyrand's death in 1892 or shortly before and sells in 1896. That is the year she moved to Arkansas with her Sons Will and Purla and there wives. I also have pictures of them at I assume the home place in Iowa. Thanks, I will call Thomas Clark about the book. I would be very interested in it. My computer is doing fine when I go through Ancestry.com or my family but my regular e-mail isn't working properly. Guess my mail isn't sending and I'm not receiving. Think I must have people upset with me because I'm not responding to them. Hope not. If I have missed something you have sent I apologize. Oh yes, The letters from Jane's sisters are from Oregon, Colorado and Arizona. Those Galland girls got around. Ha.
