Thanks for sending us your message that you know where the David Galland bible is. There is a group of descendants trying to compile a record of all the searches that have been made in the past 30 years hoping to enlist everyone to solve the mysteries on Matthew Galland. Clarice Gallant Hart, WRHCGH@aol.com is a descendant of David and has just given me a copy of the 1870 census which shows he did not list the birth places of his parents. He was 75 and perhaps his health condition made it impractical to do so, as he died in 1872. It begins to appear that there are a lot of the Galland descendants who are surfing the web. I am 89 and would rather exchange info by e-mail, inatuft@scinternet.net. My brother, Thomas Hunt of Henderson, Nevada hunttd@lvcm.com is doing the main work, and there are several others who have a long history of searching lost ancestors.
