In regards of Camilo's comment of Gallardo's being from Argentina is 100% wrong. Now, there is and seems to be a vast mojority of Gallardo's from Argentina, my own roots came frm there, then thru the north coast of Honduras, Tela.
But originally gallardo's came from the Cadiz region of Spain. The Gallardo breed was created in the XVIII century. It draws its name from Francisco Gallardo and his brothers - cattle breeders at (of the) Santa Maria (Cadiz)region - who, thanks to the good results obtained by their bulls' behaviour in the arena, reached a considerable prestige in the most important plazas de toros. Bottom line though is that ... none the less that was a long time ago.
Also keep in mind that if you have mixed breed's or outside the original Spanish race (ie. Mexican natives Indians, or any type of Americas native indians all thru out latin america or excile Arabs), wether in Mexico, USA, and or South America. The new Gallardo's are a whole new breed of their own. But not say the least still a Gallardo or an Americas Gallardo.
As for those who have not mixed too much with other races, as for my self ... then you are a true Bull !!! un verdadero toro Gallardo.
