Hi Susan, Sorry to be late in responding. I have a couple of resources for linking Minerva to Abraham and Dorothy Franks Gallentine/Gallenton. In Eli Gallentine's obituary he names out of state relatives as the McLanes. When my branch of Gallentines.... James, Margaret Ann (Thomas J Stringer), and Sarah Ann (Andrew J Stringer)moved to Calhoun Co, IA, Dorothy moved with them and is buried in Reading Twp Cem, Calhoun Co. The latest cemetery records do no show her burial, but I am originally from Gowrie, IA, and when home, I went to the cemetery many years back and took a picture of her stone. Perhaps, it has been destroyed by vandalism as it was an obelisk. Anyway, the McLanes lived in that area as well. Kearney Gallentine, grandson of James, now deceased, told me many years ago that the McLanes were cousins, although he did not exactly know how. And the McLanes were members of the Church of the Brethren as were the Gallentines and Sarah Gallentine Stringer. Abraham McLane is buried in the Brethren Cemetery in Guthrie Co. In the 1925 census he is listed as the son of Thomas McLane and Minerva Gallentine. Email me at LarfromCA@aol.com
for a copy of obit of Eli if you want it.
