ARLINGTON LOCAL NEWS

On Jan. 18, George O. Gallerani of 386 Mass.
avenue, lost his life while saving Francis Ahern, age 3
years, from drowning in Spy Pond, and in recognition of
his deed a silver medal has been awarded by the
Carnegie Hero Fund Commission, his family receiving the
award.
