Surnames: sexton, gallion, watson
a veteran of the War of 1812, a pension claim
number 50277 and SC 14296. Thomas served from
sept 16,1813 to may 10,1814 with Captain Hale's
Co of VA, Militia 128 Regiment. His war sevice
was by the name of Sexton (in Virgina) Thomas
used the name of Gallion sometime before 1840.
Thomas Gallion married Rutha Watson on July 1,1820
Gallion was registered in Floyed Co KY marriage
records.
He took the necessary legal action to change his name
in 1845. It was approved Jan 11,1845 from Sexton to
Gallion. This is to have taken place in Grayson Co,
KY 1845
Thomas Gallion was a land owner in Carter Co. KY
He lived on that land untill his death after 1871
There was also another date of marriage to Rutha
Watson 1818,we do not know which is correct.
Anyone who may have more on this please send reply.

was DK Weis, deed comissioners 6-423. This was in
Grayson, KY near Willisms Creek. He evidently
lived near Prestonburg until just before 1840
