My Great great Grandfather Timothy Gallivan, also spelled Galavan, Galivan . Married Ellen Sullivan April 5, 1815 In Killareny, Kerry, Ireland they had 5 children Mortimer 12-12-`1819, Catherine 5-29-1822, John 6-19-1825, Margaret 10-14-1827 and Timothy 8-16-1828 or1929. the younger Timothy came to the US around 1849. Married Ann Lynch in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan , Portage married in 1860 His name was spelled Galavore in the marriage book. They moved to Leelauna and Grand Traverse Michigan Counties in the 1870's or late 1860's. Any information about the Gallivan's in Ireland born of Ellen and timothy would be appreciated. I am the Great, great grand daughter of Timothy and Ellen... Mortimer Gallivan, my Grandfather, owned a Hotel in Chicago in the 1900's, he sold it around 1926 give or take a year or so. I would like to get any information about the Hotel he owned.
