Thurmond L. Gallman died on May 23, 2001 at the age of 90. Many of you know that TL was the source of much of data we have on the Gallmans going back to Switzerland. His data gave me my start. His data told me where to find the Letter from Jacob Gallman in the Zurich Public Library. His data showed me how to locate the plot of land where the Gallmans first settled in America.

He never had his data in a computer, but he always had it readily at hand. We Gallman researchers are the poorer for his loss.
