My cousin Philip's mother was a Galpin. My Aunt Audrey was born in Appleton,Wis. She was the daughter of Gerald Scott Galpin(Mar 29,1893,Appleton,Wis-Dec,1978,Appleton,wis). Gerald was the son of Algernon Sidney Galpin(Oct 23,1853,Wis-aft.1920,Grand Chute,Wis). Algernon was a hardware merchant in Appleton,Wis, and the name of his company was Alfred Galpin's Sons which he ran with his brother Harold. Can you please e-mail me and see if we are speaking of the same family. Oddly enough, Gerald Galpin married Anne Stroud who died in 1996. Our Anne Galpin was the loveliest woman- warm and gracious.
