My grandfather was Thomas Jefferson Galyean b.1887, son of Thomas Jefferson(who died before my gf was born) and Delphia Elizabeth Staton Galyean, and grandson of Samuel b.@ 1812, and Susan Mitchell. He had brothers, William '67,(married Lucy Smith, b. 1870, on May 12, 1886, so the ages you have in the 1910 census would be correct), Staton, Charles, Tobias, Rufus, and sisters Mollie (Benjamin) and Lillie (Weeks). Don't know of a sister Flora, but there was an Emma and two brothers who did not survive childhood. Read @ others looking for Lizzie and/or Lillie Galyean. William and Lucy had daughters by both these names, but I know nothing about them. T.J. and Bettie always lived in MS as far as I know. Their children lived in MS and TX. Have never known of any of them to use the spelling Gallion.
There is an annual Galyean reunion in Sweeny, Texas. Will be happy to furnish info to anyone interested. It was begun more than 20 years ago by the decendents of T. J. and Bettie (Elizabeth).
Hope this information is of interest.
