Read your 5 May, 2001 reply to Monique Gamache on the Message Board. The last sentence of your message caught my attention: "...and am a part of the great Fall River Gamache clan"
I am the son of Louis Philippe Gamache who was born in Fall River, MA in 1896 in the Flint section of the city. In the depression years, he built our home in Somerset when the trolley car were still running out front. To my knowledge, there were several / many Gamache families in the Fall River area while we were growing up there, but I only knew our immediate family. Today, (I started at the beginning of 2001) I'm trying to document our lineage with the help of genealogical societies, the internet and family descendants with similar interests. My parents and grandparents are all deceased - so there is no one-on-one history stories.
