My great grandfather was Adelard Gamelin, born 1871 in Yamaska Quebec Canada. His father was Guilleume and married to Ludgerie (Eugerie Marie Vetu dit Belair), In Yamaska. The family moved to Epping NH around 1900 +/- a few years. Finding info about Guilleume and some of the other children was easy. The problem is locating more detail about Adelard, know as Joseph more often. What I'm looking for more than anything: Adelard married a woman that went by the name Eva (Ewa on some census records. I was always told that here name was Olivia Abarile. That name is an english attemp at possibly Avril. So I believe that her name is Olivia Marie Avril born in Canada around 1868. Adelard and Olivia were married in or around 1890s. Adelard had numerous brother and sisters, I'd like to know if any of them had passed on family stories.
1891 canadian census of family: William (Guilleume) 42, Ludgerie 40, Adelard 20, Willie (Jr) 19, Delia 17, Regina 14, Donat 11, Arthur 8, and Marie 5.
I know that one or more children also located to NH.
I am also interested in the native connection. I wrote Ne Do Ba and got quite a lot of info as to Gamelins around St Fancois du Lac. Also, the hints that maybe possibly Odenak affiliations nothing concrete. All I know is that Great Gram "Ewa" was the daughter of a "chief", and that's how we got our black hair and brown/black eyes. Thanks for listening.
