My name is J Trevor Hopkins. Like the "Gam" family I am subclade I 2b 1 .
My family seem to come into UK from Northern Europe and arrived in East Anglia if the research from FTDNA.
My earliest ancestors were living in Buckinghamshire Robert Hopkyns b. abt 1460 and died 14 January 1494 - but one of them paid property tax for land in Anglia.
I have a family tree which is continuous back to Robert and would like to know the origins of any family in the same subclade I 2b 1 especially Hopkins. We seem to have no Welsh ancestry.
